Driving past Towers Garage on
Gratiot Ave, you wouldn't think
that inside this nuts and bolts
auto repair shop, a guy would be
running lines while pulling a
starter out of a car on a hoist.
Running lines - as in rehearsing
dialog for a character part in a
stage play.
And on some days this would be
the case.
Although he knows his way
around the garage, this
particular guy also knows his
way around a theater stage,
where he works with dialog as
skillfully as he handles his shop
tools.
